Our services
We would love to have you join us at Kingwood for one of our worship services or Bible classes.
During our worship, you will notice a few things that happen each week:
Communion
Every Sunday, we assemble to observe the Lord’s Supper, a memorial established by Jesus, to commemorate His death on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Prayer
We offer prayers of supplication and thanksgiving. (1 Timothy 2:1-8; Acts 2:42; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Singing
We praise God and edify one another through a cappella (non-instrumental) singing (Colossians 3:16). We sing to glorify God and encourage one another. (Ephesians 5:19)
Preaching and Teaching
Accurate and relevant Bible teaching is an important element of our assemblies. We believe that we should have Scriptural authority for everything we do as Christians and as a church. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and it is all that we use to determine our practices and beliefs. (Titus 2:1-2; 2 Timothy 4:2-5)
We offer Bible Classes for all ages – from infant through adult – on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. All of these classes are Bible-based, and their purpose is to help individuals gain a better knowledge of the Bible and its practical application to one’s life.
Giving
In our Sunday assembly, our members give as they have prospered to meet the needs of the Lord’s church in teaching and benevolence. This opportunity is a right and responsibility of our members and not a solicitation to our visitors. Our guests are neither asked nor expected to participate. (I Corinthians 16:1-2; II Corinthians 9:7)
